Chargeback Policy

Effective date: [Effective date]

A “chargeback” (or payment dispute) is when you ask your bank or card issuer to reverse a payment. This policy explains how we handle them. Please read it together with our Terms of Use. It does not take away any right you have under the law or from your card issuer.

1. Contact us first

If you see a charge you do not recognise, were charged by mistake, or are not happy, email support@omniscompute.com with your account email and the date and amount. We reply within 2 business days and aim to solve it within 10 days. A refund through us is usually faster than a chargeback and does not affect your account.

2. What you can get a refund for

  • Charges you did not authorise (see section 5 on fraud).
  • Duplicate or wrongly calculated charges.
  • Credits we failed to deliver, or requests that failed because of a fault on our side.
  • Unused credits within the cancellation period in section 6 of our Terms of Use (14 days for consumers in the EU and UK).

Credits already spent on requests that were processed by the AI providers are generally not refundable, because we have paid for them, unless the law or a fault on our side says otherwise.

3. If you file a chargeback

When a dispute is opened, we do the following:

  • We respond through the payment processor, [Payment processor, e.g. Stripe], with the records we hold: the account email, payment details, IP addresses and times, your balance history, and the log of requests made with that balance. We do not include the content of your prompts unless it is needed to answer the dispute.
  • While the dispute is open, we may pause the account and freeze the remaining balance to prevent loss.
  • If the dispute is decided in your favour, or you withdraw it, the account and balance are restored (minus any amounts already refunded).
  • If the dispute is decided against us for a payment you did authorise or whose credits you used, we may close the account, cancel the balance, and ask you to pay back the amount and the dispute fees our processor charges us.

4. Abuse of chargebacks

Opening a chargeback for credits you received and used, or repeatedly disputing valid charges, is treated as a breach of our Terms. We may refuse future top-ups, close the account, and share the facts with the payment processor and fraud prevention services as the law allows.

5. Fraud and stolen cards

If someone used your card without your permission, tell us and your bank straight away. We will help, lock the affected account, and cooperate with the investigation. A dispute for a genuinely unauthorised payment will not be treated as abuse.

6. Your rights are not affected

This policy does not limit your rights under consumer law, under the rules of your card network, or under payment services law, including any right you have to a refund for unauthorised payments. You may always take a complaint to your bank or card issuer, or to your local consumer protection authority.
